Join our team as a US Payroll Tax Analyst and become our in-house tax expert supporting the U.S. Payroll team. In this highly visible and critical role, you'll ensure our payroll system remains compliant by monitoring legislative changes across all 50 states and validating system configurations. You'll play a key role in reconciling and issuing accurate year-end tax forms (W-2s) on time. Additionally, you'll assist with payroll processing when needed and contribute to various payroll and tax projects. This position offers a balance of independent work and collaboration with the Director, U.S. Payroll Manager, and U.S. Tax team. Position Responsibilities: Tax Compliance Monitoring: Stay updated on federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations across all 50 states to ensure compliance. Payroll System Validation: Regularly review and validate payroll system configurations to ensure they align with current tax laws and regulations. Payroll Processing Support: Assist in the processing of payroll as needed, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax requirements. Tax Filings and Payments: Ensure that vendor is preparing and filing all necessary payroll tax reports and payments accurately and timely. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies. Year-End Reporting: Reconcile and issue year-end tax forms (W-2s), ensuring accuracy and timely distribution to employees. Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and insights related to payroll taxes. Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any payroll tax discrepancies or issues in a timely manner. Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Tax, and other departments to ensure smooth payroll operations and compliance. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the payroll tax function. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain thorough documentation of payroll tax processes and prepare regular reports for management review. Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to the payroll team on tax-related matters as needed. Required Qualifications: 4-6 years of progressive payroll experience processing in multi-state, high-volume environment and/or payroll tax oversight Enterprise payroll and HR systems such as ADP, Workday, SAP, Dayforce, etc. [Bachelor's degree in business, finance, human resources, or related combination of education and experience Intermediate or Advanced Excel skills, ability to analyze large amounts of data using complex formulas, macros, etc. Preferred Qualifications: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation ADP Global View experience ADP Smart Compliance experience When you join our team: We’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want.
