About the Role
We are looking for a Data Scientist with a strong background in Python and a passion for renewable energy to join our growing analytics team. In this role, you will focus on developing data-driven insights and predictive models for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). You will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize energy storage performance, support operational decision-making, and contribute to the development of our AI-powered analytics products.
About You
You are a curious and driven data scientist with a solid technical foundation and a desire to make a real-world impact. You thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy solving complex problems with data.
Required Qualifications:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics).
2–3+ years of experience in a data science or analytics role.
Proficiency in Python and common data science libraries (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, NumPy, matplotlib).
Experience with data wrangling, statistical analysis, and machine learning.
Strong communication skills and fluency in English (written and verbal).
Beneficial Qualifications:
Familiarity with energy systems, particularly BESS or grid-scale energy storage.
Experience working with time-series data and forecasting models.
Exposure to tools like Jupyter, SQL, Airflow, or MLflow.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and data pipeline tools is a plus.
Your Responsibilities
Analyze and model performance data from BESS assets to uncover actionable insights.
Develop predictive models to forecast energy storage behavior and optimize dispatch strategies.
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and domain experts to translate business needs into data solutions.
Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines and analytics tools.
Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Stay up to date with the latest trends in data science, energy storage, and renewable energy technologies.
