What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Bakery Manager the Bakery Team Member will perform a variety of responsibilities in the operation, ensuring alignment with our Core values and Brand:
Understanding and following Westview Co-op’s Health and Safety Program and promoting a culture of safety
Providing world class service to our Members and Guests and living by our Brand expectations through our “You’re at Home Here” motto
Production, packaging, and merchandising of products
Food preparation including baking as needed
Accurate ordering and receiving of product
Ensure high level of image and cleanliness in line with our Brand expectations
Team Members will work in all areas of the assigned department
Decorating cakes and other baking products as required
Other projects and assignments as required
This position requires the use of equipment including ovens and slicers, as well as frequent heavy lifting of product.

We are looking for a positive, approachable, and motivated individual with a drive to learn. Candidates will demonstrate the following:
Must have the ability to lift up to 50lbs unassisted.
Professional, people-first, Guest service skills
Understanding of our Values (Integrity, Community, Teamwork)
Strong attention to detail as well as organizational and interpersonal skills.
Quality communication skills.
This is a part-time position within our Bakery Department. The candidate will be responsible for all duties related to bakery operations, with a special focus on cake decorating. The role requires availability for morning shifts, evenings, and weekends, for 16-24 hours per week. Previous experience in cake decoration is an asset
