Job Title: Accounts Payable Supervisor
Job Description
The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments, and leading a small team. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles and systems.
Responsibilities
Supervise and support accounts payable team members.
Provide training and guidance to AP staff.
Review invoices and process payments via EFT, ACH, wire transfer, and e-transfer.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all AP transactions.
Monitor and reduce aged payables.
Perform month-end AP procedures and reporting.
Develop and maintain AP policies and procedures.
Resolve vendor discrepancies and maintain vendor records.
Regularly review AP aging reports to ensure current status.
Conduct vendor credit checks when required.
Essential Skills
Minimum 5 years of experience in accounts payable, handling high volumes (50–100 invoices/day).
Proven leadership experience managing at least 1–2 team members.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS), Word, Teams, and Outlook.
Experience working in a mid-to-large sized organization (approx. 500–600 employees), preferably in a blue-collar environment.
Strong communication skills for engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
Familiarity with ERP systems and general accounting functions including reconciliation, invoicing, general ledger, bank reconciliation, revenue recognition, margin analysis, lease accounting, KPI analysis, and IFRS 16.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with NetSuite is an asset.
Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
Self-motivated with excellent communication skills.
Work Environment
Hybrid work model: 2 days in-office, 3 days remote.
Quiet, collaborative office culture with a business casual dress code.
40-hour workweek, Monday to Friday, with flexible start times.
Occasional overtime may be required.
Reports to the Financial Controller.

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00/hr.
