About the Role:
Freeman Herbs is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IPM Scout to support our Grow Team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring plant health by monitoring for pests and diseases, implementing biosecurity strategies, and maintaining IPM (Integrated Pest Management) protocols.

As an IPM Scout your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular crop inspections and report detailed findings to the Grow Team.
Follow and complete daily, weekly, and monthly bio plans.
Apply beneficial biological agents and assist in developing biological pest control strategies.
Maintain storage conditions and monitor the health of biological agents from delivery to application.
Inspect and log quality of beneficial insects; report any discrepancies.
Assist with greenhouse IPM product applications and biological controls.
Manage and optimize the banker plant program.
Maintain clean and organized scouting tools, equipment, and the spray room.
Replace sticky cards and log data using IPM tracking systems.
Stay informed on pesticide use, safety procedures, and documentation with guidance from the Growers.
Contribute to a clean, safe, and collaborative greenhouse environment.
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in Horticulture/Agriculture (required)
Valid Pesticide/Spray License
Prior experience in a greenhouse setting and/or IPM role (required)
Strong interest and/or knowledge of common greenhouse pests
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Strong communication skills (oral and written)
Knowledge of safety practices and hazard recognition
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff
Availability on weekends and extended hours during spring seasonal period.
