Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Business Resilience under Global Operations, as the Reporting & Analytics Analyst Intern/Co-op, you will play a key role in identifying and actioning our reporting & analytics opportunities. As part of this, you will work with various stakeholders across all segments in Manulife including leadership, business & technical SMEs, and other risk functions. Your ultimate measure of success will be the timely and good quality of required outputs as well as possibly stakeholder adoption of the new or enhanced reporting & analytics solutions. Key Accountabilities: Streamline data collection methods to create automated, standardized and easy-to-use routines Perform data cleansing, processing, and validation Propose ways we can use data and analytics to improve reporting, generate insights, support business goals, and solve problems Leverage available technology (e.g.: PowerBI, PowerApps) to build or improve easy-to-use and sustainable dashboards that support data-driven decision making Assist stakeholders with reporting & analytics tool adoption as needed Other ad-hoc reporting & analytics work as required Qualifications: Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field Experience with data reporting and analysis, modeling and statistical/quantitative approaches Ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize information, and make informed recommendations Experience with common querying languages (e.g. SQL) and visualization tools (PowerBI, PowerApps) Experience with advanced Excel functions (macros and scripts) Experience with dashboard design an asset Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including written and verbal communication as well as visualizations/presentations Strong planning and organization skills; can manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines About Manulife and John Hancock Manulife Financial Corporation is a leading international financial services provider, helping people make their decisions easier and lives better.
