As a Senior Advisor, IT architecture, you actively monitor opportunities offered by new technologies and business approaches for the organization as a whole. You design solutions to meet the business needs of projects using Desjardins Group’s architecture targets and supporting foundations. You ensure consistency with the organization’s structure, as well as current and future needs, and ensure that new elements are compatible with existing architecture. You influence business partners and stakeholders on large-scale solution architecture development initiatives that are strategic, complex and innovative. Your initiatives require extensive, in-depth expertise across several IT and/or business fields and knowledge of data, applications and infrastructure. You make recommendations about architecture and produce specialized deliverables as part of projects or initiatives that have a high degree of operational and conceptual complexity. You use your analytical skills and comprehensive, in-depth understanding of your line of business and the organization to align IT strategies with the organization’s objectives. Coordination is critical. You interact with a very large number of stakeholders working in a wide range of fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. You serve as a specialist advisor, as well as a resource person and coach for decision-making bodies. More specifically, you will be required to: As an architecture team member and a specialized advisor to sectors, translate business priorities and strategies into consistent architecture requirements for all dimensions for projects, initiatives and development activities specific to your area of expertise that have a significant impact on the organization. Advise specialists and business partners to help them orient, plan, develop, execute and monitor innovative technology solutions for the projects, mandates and strategic initiatives under your responsibility. Develop, plan and maintain the business architecture roadmap in collaboration with the domain and business architecture advisor. Develop and update policies, standards, and architecture targets to support your unit’s strategic projects and initiatives. Identify and analyze issues. Report major issues. Diagnose issues, establish guidelines and make recommendations to decision-making bodies and committees. Represent your unit before decision-making bodies and committees. Represent Desjardins when making agreements with external partners and organizations.
