REGISTERED PRACTICAL NURSE – OPERATING ROOM
(CASUAL)
Three (3) casual RPN opportunities are available in the Operating Room at Groves Memorial Community Hospital.
This position is unionized with UNIFOR, Local 1106.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
Current BCLS certification
Successful completion of an Accredited Operating Room Course/Certification
Minimum 2 years experience working in the Operating Room/Day Surgery and Endoscopy
Must be available to take on call/ standby shifts as scheduled and meet the call back requirements
IV Therapy Course (or up to scope)
Cardiac Monitoring / Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (or willingness to obtain within 3 months)
Demonstrated Physical Assessment skills
Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
Must demonstrate success working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting
Demonstrated lifelong learner
Must demonstrate successfully working in a team environment
Satisfactory performance and attendance required
Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date
Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check
Must complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment prior to being hired
HOURS:
Must be available for day, evening and night shifts; as per department schedule
SALARY:
$34.58 to $35.98 per hour
