The Opportunity:
We’re looking for an AEM Front-End Engineer to join our Technology Solutions Partner (IT) team.
Reporting to the Manager, Software Engineering, the AEM Front-End Engineer is responsible for ensuring deliverables are in line with best practices, embedding Aviso’s standards of code quality, security, reusability, scalability and configurability while participating in the user experience design of responsive application systems. The role is high touch position with a notable amount of collaboration across product teams and stakeholders to define front-end technical and usability requirements and understand how they fit into the end objective.

What your day looks like:
Designs and writes front end code in several languages relevant to our existing product stack with a focus on Front-End Development using Front end tools/technologies/framework like React and API/Microservices integration
Provide leadership with Front-End best practices to teammates through coaching and mentorship
Participate in software design, development, and end-to-end implementation using Adobe Experience Manager (Sites, Assets)
Participate in software/UX design, development, and delivery
Execute true end-to-end development and testing of software products in an agile lifecycle
Provide technical guidance leading the technical design, sprint planning and backlog refinement activities
Drive user story analysis, elaboration and design while ensuring code quality is high with supporting unit test and automation
Addresses product backlog and provide continuous delivery of high-quality features
Works collaboratively with cross functional teams, using Agile / DevOps principles to bring products to life, achieve business objectives and serve customer needs with a best-in-class client experience
Participate in discussions to drive smart trade-off decisions that balance efforts, delivery timelines, features, and technical constraints and as well as addressing risk
Ensures all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices
Your experience and skills:
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Experience in end-to-end implementations, customer experience management solutions and large complex campaign orchestration
2+ years’ experience of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) development including template, component, workflows, and services development
7+ years’ strong experience with Front End platforms including React. Integration with backend using API’s in .net/C#/Java-based frameworks including Spring Framework and Hibernate
Self-starter, strong experience with web-based technologies, cross-browser development and web services integration including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, RESTful Services/APIs, and JSON
Experience in the financial industry is an asset
Proficient in using one of the IDEs like Eclipse, IntelliJ or Microsoft Visual Studio
Experience in Agile SCRUM & iterative development methodologies
Experience using version control systems such as Git and Azure DevOps in a team setting
Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset

Salary
This position is posted with an expected salary range of $100,000- $113,000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
