Hybrid Schedule - 3 days in office - please note that this position can also be filled in any of our offices across Canada Our market-leading Special Situations Team has played a foundational role in some of Canada’s most high-profile, precedent-setting shareholder activism cases, and advises clients on complex reorganizations, hostile or complex M&A transactions, and other special situations. The Market Programs Manager will bring the full strength of our national Clients & Markets team to support this exciting, fast-paced practice area, developing long-term marketing plans and reacting quickly to meet time-sensitive client needs and business development opportunities. The successful candidate is nimble, adaptable, and adept at successfully reacting to new market opportunities in real time; quickly pivots and balances multiple competing priorities; and makes effective decisions under tight timelines. You will be focusing on: Marketing strategy and execution: Create, manage, and execute a comprehensive marketing plan for the Special Situations Team tied to the firm’s strategic objectives. Marketing campaigns and projects: Drive new business, brand recognition, and strengthened client and industry relationships through integrated campaigns, including advertising; web, social, and media strategies for market positioning; speaking engagements; sponsorship review and business case support; event strategy; and thought leadership. Client engagement: Recommend and advise on bespoke client engagement strategies and recommend channels for going to market. Market research: Understand and report on the competitive landscape to proactively identify prospects and new opportunities. Research and provide corporate and executive data to support target outreach. Pursuits support: Liaise with the Pursuits team to develop sales material to target new business and respond to bid requests. Rankings and recognition: Support submissions to legal and corporate awards, directories, and league tables. Ensure matters are captured in internal resources for use in marketing materials and communications. Reporting: Define and measure marketing effort success, report outcomes, and propose opportunities for improvement. Budget: Manage marketing budgets, track spend, and make recommendations on marketing investments. Team: Work closely with other Market Programs Managers to advance national initiatives and bring forward cross-practice marketing opportunities. What you bring to the role: 8-10 years of experience in business-to-business marketing within a law firm or professional services environment. Bachelor’s or recognized technical college degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field. Demonstrated success planning and implementing a range of marketing techniques, including sponsorship evaluation, digital marketing, and social media amplification. Substantial project management experience designing and driving projects from inception to implementation, or significant project experience demonstrating collaboration, critical thinking, and market research skills. Experience framing and collaboratively resolving complex challenges through creative problem-solving. Self-starter with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively across teams of all levels of seniority. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Passion for demand marketing and interest in actively building solutions with a variety of stakeholders. Proven expertise connecting marketing strategy and outcomes to revenue growth and market share gain. Vancouver Salary Scale: $102 000 - $141 026. Salary will be discussed and negotiated during interview and will be based on experience.
