Job Description What is the opportunity? The Field Investigator is responsible for conducting timely and thorough, objective investigations for the Life & Health Claims Department. You will actively support and collaborate with our Corporate Investigative Services Team and the Life & Health Claims Team to mitigate and prevent fraud. They play a critical role in protecting the integrity of claims process, mitigating fraud risk, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures What will you do? Conduct in-person on site interviews/ gather statements Gather, verify, and analyze information from claimants, healthcare providers, employers, witnesses, and other relevant parties Complete site visits, surveillance, background checks as necessary Assess the authenticity of claims documents, including medical records, death certificates, employment records Prepare clear, concise, and factual investigative reports Identify potential fraud indicators in claim files Ensure all activities comply with privacy regulations, insurance regulations and company protocols. Maintain the highest level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion Produce regular fraud reporting to senior leadership team Act as a liaison between our Life & Health Claims department & our Corporate Investigative Services team What do you need to succeed? Must-have 10+ years of experience in insurance investigations and/or claim adjudication Knowledge of Life and Health insurance products across various business lines (Disability, Life, Critical Illness) University degree or equivalent experience A valid unrestricted driver’s license Fully Bilingual; French and English speaking Excellent verbal & written communication skills Nice-to-have Experience conducting investigations and interviews, site inspections and gathering evidence.
