The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities:
Work with core team and deliver solutions using Impala/Hive, Parquet, Kafka and related Big Data Technologies
Requirement gathering and understanding, Analyze and convert functional requirements into concrete technical tasks and able to provide reasonable effort estimates
Responsible for end-to-end project delivery within schedule and with required level of quality.
Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements
Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards
Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint
Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals
Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions
Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
8-10 years’ relevant experience in Technology development and delivering projects
Should have been involved in enterprise scale multi region project development and tracking initiatives
Experience in banking/capital markets or Risk or Finance is necessary.
Experience in leading large Big Data Development Program on Cloudera Platform and having Hands on Experience in different tech stacks in big data including Spark(on Scala and Java), Hive, and Impala etc.
Should have strong experience in Relational and No-SQL databases
Experience of development methodologies such as SDLC, Agile key mile stones/ artifacts around same, size estimation, structure of BRD/FRD and full blown project plan preparation, test methodologies ( functional, regression, performance).
Overview programming paradigms- object oriented, functional etc; should have driven a large build out, implemented end to end one to two program end to end in global model.
Complete project lifecycle exposure
Exposure/ experience in enterprise level platform development
Ability to manage high performance teams in high pressure delivery environment
Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications
Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master’s degree preferred
