About the Role:
We are seeking a Technical Product Owner to join our growing Product &
Technology team. This individual will act as a critical link between our
business goals and engineering execution. As a Technical Product Owner, you will
define technical product requirements, prioritize the backlog, and work closely
with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful features that enhance our
Generative AI-based translation platform.
Responsibilities:
- Own the technical product backlog: Define, refine, and prioritize technical
requirements to ensure alignment with business objectives and user needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders: Act as the liaison between engineering,
product management, linguistic operations, sales, and client success teams to
gather requirements and validate technical feasibility.
- Bridge product and engineering: Translate high-level product strategies into
clear, actionable user stories and technical specifications for development
teams.
- Support the development lifecycle: Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint
planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, demos) and ensure smooth delivery of
product iterations.
- Ensure quality: Partner with QA, data science, and engineering teams to
define acceptance criteria and conduct user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Monitor performance: Leverage analytics and user feedback to continuously
improve product features and system reliability.
- AI integration: Work with AI engineers to guide the technical roadmap for our
Generative AI models and translation engine improvements.
- Architecture SME: The candidate will be required to have intimate knowledge
of the full end-to-end platform and become the architecture Subject Matter
Expert. This is required to expedite feasibility requests from product
stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of experience as a Technical Product Owner, Solution Architect, or
similar role in a SaaS or AI/ML environment.
- Understanding of APIs, data architecture, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS,
Azure).
- Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.
- Background in computer science, engineering, or equivalent technical
experience.
- Experience working with AI/ML products or Natural Language Processing (NLP)
is a strong asset.
- Proven ability to write clear, detailed technical requirements and user
stories.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and
non-technical teams.
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Figma, or similar.
- Experience as a SaaS software developer or equivalent technical experience.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience in the translation or localization industry.
- Working knowledge of Generative AI technologies (e.g., LLMs, prompt
engineering, fine-tuning models).
