Position Overview The National Multi-Unit Sales Account Manager develops executive-level strategic relationships with a select number of key customers with focus on achieving significant long-term, sustained and measurable business results. Position: Full Time, Permanent Schedule: Monday to Friday. This position will be 4 days in the office, 1 day from home. Location: Richmond, BC Salary: $150,000 to $175,000 plus performance bonus Travel: Some travel required for conferences or events (10%) Duties and Responsibilities Develops long-term, strategic relationships with key accounts within their team’s portfolio of business Interacts frequently with external customers to provide an exchange of information. Builds long-term customer relationships at an Executive level while meeting short-term objectives. Holds the team accountable for quarterly business reviews to ensure objectives are being met. Reviews outcomes of meetings and action plans that are created to meet the next quarter’s objectives. Participates in selected annual business reviews with key accounts to review and set accurate goals for the coming year. Leads team to develop customer account plans to include: customer and Intercity Packers/Macgregors objectives and implementation strategies, promotion of the customers and Intercity Packers/Macgregors’ stated values and positions, sales / promotion of the Intercity Packers/Macgregors brands throughout the customer’s organization. Coordinates and communicates strategic account activity to senior leadership and management and engages, where appropriate, senior leadership sponsorship of customer. Collaborates with internal departments to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. Plans and assists in the personal and professional development of the National Account Managers. Interviews, hires, trains, and retains staff. Conducts performance monitoring of staff, initiating follow through with disciplinary action and termination in consultation with Human Resources when appropriate. Mentors, motivates, and develops staff and serves as a role model and resource. Collaborates with Directors, North American Sales teams, and other department leaders to ensure the National Account Manager is providing the highest level of consistent internal and external customer satisfaction. Leads team in defining best practices and provides consistent support to internal and external customers. Creates and reviews monthly reports. Utilizes and applies customer profitability and pricing models to negotiate customer agreements. Represents Gordon Food Service at customer and industry events. Performs other duties as assigned.
