What You’ll be Doing:
You will help modernize locomotives by applying our ZTR products which includes creating instructions and schematics for our global customers. This will require you to understand locomotive operation and circuits then make decisions on effective implementation. Once applied, our ZTR products and services help increase rolling stock reliability, availability, maintainability, and connectivity, as well as provide a positive environmental impact on the rail industry.
For this role, hybrid work is available after a satisfactory onboarding period.
What your responsibilities will be:
Analyze and troubleshoot circuits using electrical schematics and manuals
Make critical decisions about product solutions based on product and customer requirements
Author and validate customer-facing documentation including product installation and testing instructions
Utilize drafting software to generate accurate and detailed electrical schematics
Provide support to internal teams for new and established product applications
Interact with customers and perform project management tasks
Collaborate with cross functional teams through various projects
Ideal candidates would have:
Controls or electrical engineering degree or diploma or related fields
Excellent critical thinking skills and attention to detail
Knowledge to interpret and work with electrical schematics
Self motivation to problem-solve and learn independently
Effective technical writing and documentation skills
Multitask effectively between multiple projects and deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with EPlan or similar drafting software is an asset
Functional experience with PLC hardware and software is an asset
Potential ability to travel internationally
