We are seeking an organized and proactive MEP Project Coordinator to join our
growing team. Under the supervision of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP)
Project Leads, the MEP Project Coordinator will assist with some or all Project
Lead duties, as well as support the broader MEP team with project-related tasks
as needed. This may include supporting projects through all stages of design and
construction. The Project Coordinator will work in our London or Kitchener
office.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with proposals.
- Support projects from the initiating to closing phases.
- Organize and lead all internal project meetings.
- Manage all project communication, both internal and external.
- Manage all project action items.
- Serve as a main point of contact with project stakeholders, along with
Project Leads, delivering outstanding client service and support.
- Attend and contribute to weekly SBM Project Lead meetings, or support Project
Leads in preparation for these meetings.
- Support Project Lead to plan, execute, monitor, and control project
priorities to ensure delivery within budget and schedule.
- Attend and contribute to project meetings.
- Facilitate project coordination between internal and external stakeholders.
- Complete divisional invoicing for assigned projects according to the
invoicing schedule.
- Carry out project close-out duties, including issuing final general
conformance letters, preparing final invoices, supporting the finance team
with collections, documenting lessons learned and sharing them with the team
and division, sending client satisfaction surveys, etc.
- Build trusting relationships with new and existing clients; consistently
deliver on commitments.
Qualifications:
- Working towards a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation
considered an asset.
- 2+ years of experience in an engineering consulting and/or construction
environment considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of client needs and relationship-building.
- Ability to ask insightful questions and uncover the "why" behind challenges.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability
to overcome obstacles and deliver results.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to
clearly convey complex ideas.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects at various stages, while
maintaining momentum and focus.
- Meticulous attention to detail, with a strong commitment to accuracy,
consistency, and structured organization.
- Self-motivated and independent, while also excelling in collaborative,
team-oriented environments.
- Agile and adaptable, able to pivot quickly in response to shifting priorities
and dynamic project needs.
- Committed to continuous growth, actively seeking opportunities for
