You’ll be responsible for executing account strategies, maintaining and growing customer relationships, and working closely with internal teams, including dispatch, operations, and Customer Service Representatives (CSRs), to deliver exceptional service outcomes.
This role is ideal for a proven performer who understands freight and logistics, has experience with rate negotiation, and thrives in a fast-paced, service-driven environment. You’ll be expected to take ownership of your book of business, identify growth opportunities, and lay the groundwork for partner and legacy-level accounts.
Summary:
The Key Account Representative is responsible for managing and growing assigned customer accounts by delivering reliable service, building trust, and developing a deep understanding of their freight needs. You’ll be the main point of contact, working closely with internal teams to ensure accurate pricing, timely execution, and quick resolution when things go sideways.
This role is a key part of Q-Line’s customer success strategy and a strong launchpad for future growth in account leadership.
Responsibilities:
Customer Relationship Management
Build lasting relationships with customers through consistent communication and follow-through
Be responsive to daily needs and ready to solve problems when they come up
Freight Coordination and Pricing Accuracy
Learn the unique freight requirements for each account
Ensure timely quoting and spot-on pricing
Work closely with operations and support teams to deliver on what you’ve promised
Account Growth and Business Development
Develop insight into your accounts and their industries
Spot opportunities to improve service and grow business
Work closely with the BD team to pursue new customers and support strategic growth
Additional Responsibilities
Contribute to team goals and support broader company initiatives as required.
Qualifications
2–3 years of sales or account management experience
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Proven ability to negotiate and resolve issues under pressure
Comfortable working with pricing, equipment types, and logistics timelines
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong judgment and ability to work independently
