Giant Tiger Trucking has an exciting opportunity for Licensed AZ Drivers to join our Yard Shunt Team based out of our Johnstown, Ontario Distribution Facility. We are looking for experienced drivers who are looking to learn new skills and become peer leaders. Our shunters aren’t just shunters - they are critical in our best-in-class safety system. Shunter Job Schedule: This posting is for our PM Shunt Crew with a shift of 6pm - 6am. You will be working continental 12 Hour Shifts based on a two-week 2-2-3 shift pattern with static night shifts – no days to nights or nights to days. Shunting Role Highlights Performing yard shunting duties to help with outbound delivery mandate Perform Pre & Post Trip Inspections playing a direct role in safety of the fleet Direct equipment into out of service queue for repair Responsible to track and record reefer hours and Hub Odometer Readings Local radius hiking of equipment to vendor service providers Work closely with Dispatch to report issues in the yard or equipment Working with Transportation Team to improve yard flow management and efficiencies Provide shunting relief coverage for our Brockville Distribution Center Assist with winter control operations in yard using various equipment and machinery Ability to grow in position learning new skills like B-Trains, LCV, Converter Dollies, ETC. Additional workload available across Tiger Trucking Job Requirements: Shunting experience & knowledge of transportation functions Possess a valid AZ or Class 1 license and 3 years of verifiable driving experience.
