The Community Giving Specialist plays a key role in strengthening STC’s fundraising efforts, donor relationships, and communications. Role Type: Full Time, Permanent
Location: Hybrid role, requiring partial work in Guelph (in office) and partial remote work
Hours of Work: Full Time - Monday to Friday, days; Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to support fundraising or community engagement

About the Role:
The Community Giving Specialist will:
Lead and support the execution of STC’s annual fundraising and communication strategy
Cultivate, steward, and expand a portfolio of individual, corporate, and foundation donors
Develop and manage donor-centered campaigns and community events
Support communications strategies that amplify STC’s impact and enhance donor loyalty
Collaborate with staff and volunteers to enhance STC’s community profile and fundraising success
Contribute to a culture of philanthropy rooted in empathy, storytelling, and shared purpose
Specific Role Responsibilities:
Fundraising & Donor Engagement
Implement STC’s annual fundraising strategy to achieve financial targets
Cultivate and steward relationships with current and prospective donors, including individuals, businesses, and foundations
Lead donor communications, impact reporting, and personalized stewardship activities
Plan and execute fundraising campaigns and signature community giving events
Identify and pursue new fundraising opportunities aligned with STC’s mission and values
Community Engagement & Communications
Collaborate with STC’s staff to create compelling external and internal facing materials and manage social media communications
Contribute to the development of messaging and storytelling that highlights donor impact and client outcomes
Represent STC at community events, donor meetings, and outreach opportunities
Build relationships with external partners to support fundraising and awareness
Operations & Administration
Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records and financial transactions using CRM software
Support grant research and proposal development as needed
Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers for fundraising initiatives
Monitor fundraising metrics and contribute to internal reporting and analysis
