What You’ll Be Doing: As an Accounting Assistant, you will be a key member of our Finance Team, responsible for providing day-to-day support for our financial operations, managing collections, accounts receivable, and creating various reports. Our fast-paced and demanding environment provides an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience with a variety of financial tasks.
Note: the role of Accounting Assistant is internally referred to as the Finance Administrator, it encompasses a variety of accounting responsibilities. The position involves managing collections, accounts receivable, financial reporting, billing, reconciliation, and other accounting tasks.
What You’ll Be Working On:
Managing collections and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators to help assess the financial health and efficiency of the department.
Generate essential reports such as EHR (Effective Hourly Rate) and billable labor reports to provide insights into financial performance.
Compile and maintain a comprehensive client overview spreadsheet by pulling data from various reports.
Month-end billing, time and material billing
Credit card receipt entries and reconciliation statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Enter bills into the system as they come in, maintaining up-to-date and accurate financial records.
Set up new clients in QuickBooks and ensure accounts are clear when clients leave.
Coordinate and manage tasks related to the finance board.
Answer incoming calls and assist with inquiries.
Clear item receipts and billed costs.
Conduct bank deposit audits to ensure financial accuracy.
Perform other duties as assigned, including helping with office tasks.
What We’re Looking For:
Accounting certificate or experience equivalent.
1-2+ years of accounting or related experience.
Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in records and reports.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
Eagerness to learn new concepts and programs, adapt quickly to changes and new technologies.
Valid driver’s license (reasonably clean driving record).
