Duties and Responsibilities:
The Lead Hand Production Worker supports management in facilitating employee needs as they pursue quality, on-time product, in a safe and efficient manner as well as promoting a customer-centric culture amongst fellow personnel. The Flat Lay department is responsible for shaping cores, applying molding, attaching backsplash and mounting sinks to custom flat lay countertops.
Qualifications:
3 - 5 years production experience in a supervisory capacity ideally within similar industry
Basic computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office products and ability to learn other software programs
Ability to solve problems as they arise
Effective communication skills
Strong planning and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Ability to handle challenging situations
Ability to coach, train and develop employees
Capable of operating specialized tools and machinery
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supports each area’s supervisor and production staff, to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of systems, policies and procedures to serve the needs of the customer.
Reviews production schedule and work orders to help establish priorities for specific customer orders, established sequence, and availability or capability of workers.
Cover for various positions during absences and cross train others to empower them to follow suit.
Works with the Production Manager to ensure the availability of materials needed to meet production requirements
As required, conducts departmental meetings, safety inspections, and audits
Leads by example and acts as an advocate for safe work practices and the importance of PPE.
Liaises with other departments as needed
Other duties as assigned
