Position Overview:
LawDepot is currently expanding and looking to recruit a Content Marketing Writer in Edmonton, Alberta. Working with the Content Team, you will be responsible for producing high quality content that drives organic traffic, engages users, and converts leads through compelling website and email experiences. This is a full-time permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week with opportunities for a hybrid work schedule.
Primary Responsibilities:
Write SEO-friendly landing page copy and metadata for product pages to improve search visibility and drive organic search results
Conduct keyword and competitor research to guide content strategy and enhance search performance
Create clear, user focused content such as CTAs, modals, and user flow messaging to support a seamless UX
Utilize our content management system (CMS) to publish and update website content
Develop persuasive, conversion-driven copy for landing pages, emails, and in-product messaging
Partner with cross-functional teams to write content that supports a wide range of product initiatives
Analyze internal reports to identify high ROI organic search opportunities
Craft promotional email content and test variations to improve open rates, conversions, and engagement metrics
Build targeted email segments and campaigns using an email management system (Mautic)
Monitor and analyze performance data from email campaigns and landing page updates
Participate in content ideation and brainstorming sessions to drive product initiatives
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism or other relevant fields
Established portfolio showcasing previous examples of landing page content, UX copy, promotional emails, project plans, marketing copy, blog posts etc.
Advanced written and verbal communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to research and learn legal topics, think creatively, solve problems, and take initiative
Great time management and organizational skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Comfortable using AI to assist in drafting and editing copy
Ability to utilize content management systems to publish content
Experience with analyzing and tracking performance of written copy
Knowledge in search engine optimization (SEO), keyword research, and user intent is an asset
Experience using Semrush, Google Analytics, Google Search Console is an asset
Knowledge in UX writing and email writing is an asset
Basic skill in HTML is an asset
Second language (French, German or Spanish) is an asset
