Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated HR Manager - HRBP to join our Human Resources team. This role will be responsible for supporting a designated client group, managing departmental HR analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs), and leading key talent initiatives.
As an integral member of the HR team, this individual will also temporarily oversee the Talent Acquisition team during a maternity leave coverage period. Once the Talent Acquisition Manager returns, the HR Manager / HRBP will continue to support the client group and drive strategic initiatives related to retention, talent reviews, succession planning, and other HR projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Partnering:
Act as the primary HR contact for a small, dedicated client group
Provide strategic and operational HR support to leaders and employees
Partner with leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management initiatives
Support employee relations, performance management, and engagement strategies
Talent Acquisition (Temporary Mat Leave Coverage):
Lead the Talent Acquisition team and oversee recruitment strategy and operations
Ensure recruitment KPIs and service levels are met during coverage period and regularly report to all levels in the organization
Manage government programs and represent the company through these initatives (involving appropriate cross-functional teams)
Provide guidance on complex or senior-level hiring
KPI Management & HR Analytics:
Own and manage departmental KPIs and HR analytics dashboards
Provide insights and trends to support decision-making and improve HR effectiveness
Monitor and report on key workforce metrics (e.g., turnover, time-to-fill, engagement)
Talent & Retention Programs:
Support and drive initiatives related to retention, talent reviews, and succession planning
Collaborate with leaders to identify high-potential talent and create development pathways
Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR programs and practices
Other Projects:
Lead or support various HR initiatives and projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or related field
Minimum 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, including HRBP or HR Manager responsibilities
Minimum of 5 years leading a team (demosntrated ability to manage through change)
Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment legislation, and best practices
Experience in talent acquisition and people analytics
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a professional environment
Strong problem-solving ability and business acumen
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
