The Associate Director (Actuarial), Par Inforce Management leads the Par Inforce Management team to take initiatives to understand the inforce experience of PAR products. This role supports various deep-dive investigations, collaborates cross-functionally to resolve complex product issues, in the meantime, this role will lead the experience study of PAR products to review various actuarial assumptions. The role offers high visibility and the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership to shape future direction and priorities. What will you do? Review and refresh the IFRS17 reporting of PAR products. Validate the CSM/Loss Component balance. Enhance the Earnings by Source (EBS) statement by modernizing the data model behind. Track the experience gains and losses and make recommendation on corresponding dividend scale changes. Coordinate with Capital Management team to streamline the LICAT reporting of PAR products Lead the team to produce PAR surplus projection, help with review of PAR account financials and support business decision making. Conduct experience study to support various assumptions review. Other ad-hoc related work as assigned by the team. What will you need to succeed? Must-have: 5+ years Actuarial experience within Life insurance industry. Creativity and dedication to create something from scratch. Experience with GGY AXIS and familiarity with insurance product modeling, pricing, or valuation Solid understanding of PAR products and related actuarial considerations Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey technical results to non-technical audiences Proven ability to collaborate in a team environment and manage competing priorities Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science or a related discipline Fellow of Society of Actuaries (FSA) or close to FSA exam progress. Nice-to-have: Strong understanding of data modeling (ETL), familiarity with different database UI. What's in it for you?
