The Finance Manager will play a critical role in managing month-end reporting, providing cross functional finance support, enhancing controls and processes, managing working capital, owning full-cycle operational accounting function, assisting with strategic financial planning and analysis, and working through intercompany balances and reconciliations. This role is essential for ensuring the financial health and efficiency of our operations. Job Description: Responsibilities Oversee and manage the month-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Develop and implement robust financial controls and processes to ensure compliance, accuracy and efficiency Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth. Delegate tasks effectively and provide constructive feedback. Prepare complex account reconciliations, accruals, journal entries and variance analysis Prepare error-free detailed financial, cost, and accounting working papers Monitor and manage working capital to optimize cash flow and ensure the company has sufficient liquidity to meet its obligations Own the company aged AR balances, including implementing robust processes and controls to minimize aged AR and providing monthly reports to leadership on aged AR Ensure the accuracy of revenue recognition (per IFRS 15 standards), including subscription, hosting and project-based revenue (experience with Percentage Of Completion an asset) Manage day-to-day banking operations and assist with cash transactions Manage and reconcile intercompany balances, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Conduct financial analysis and provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making. Act as the primary point of contact for financial matters, both internally and externally. Communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders. Partner with other department heads to align financial management with the overall business strategy. Provide insights and support for strategic initiatives. Oversee the implementation and optimization of accounting systems and financial software to improve accuracy and efficiency Participate in financial planning and budgeting meetings with the leadership team Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment and support for financial initiatives. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts and monitor financial performance against targets. Ensure that the company’s financial practices adhere to all applicable laws and regulations, including tax codes, reporting requirements, and industry standards. Provide support during internal and external audits, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, with a focus on month-end reporting, financial planning and analysis, and working capital management. Strong knowledge of NetSuite or similar ERP systems, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Detail-oriented, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to ethical financial management and confidentiality in handling sensitive information Demonstrated experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
