Alpine Aerotech is currently seeking a highly motivated General Labourer to join our rapidly expanding team in West Kelowna. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A GENERAL LABOURER Assist with general shop maintenance, including but not limited to: cleaning, organizing and restocking supplies; Support shop staff in assembling, disassembling, and moving materials or equipment; Operate basic hand tools and equipment to complete tasks; Perform periodic inspections of building and equipment to ensure accuracy and to rectify deficiencies; Perform minor electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry and masonry tasks; Load and unload deliveries or materials, tools and supplies; Assist in external grounds keeping, snow removal and general security of facilities; Perform minor repairs and adjustments on shop equipment as needed; Maintain clean and safe work areas by adhering to safety protocols and wearing appropriate safety gear; Support the set up and breakdown of workstations, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored; Assist with packaging, labeling, and preparing products for shipment or delivery; Fulfill additional duties as required; and Uphold an unwavering standard of excellence that impeccably represents the Alpine Aerotech brand. OUR MUST HAVES 1+ years’ experience in facility maintenance or a warehouse environment considered an asset; Valid driver’s license; Forklift experience considered an asset; General working knowledge of building operations, equipment, tools, material and work practices used in the maintenance of an operating facility; Ability to meet physical demands of the position including, but not limited to: climbing ladders, working in small spaces and lifting up to 50 lbs; Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and carpentry; Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to generate high quality deliverables; Strong time and project management skills and self-motivation; Robust interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence, and professional maturity with demonstrated ability to effectively interact and build professional relationships.; Awareness of the sensitivity of information received and appropriate handling; and Know what it means to work smarter, not harder.
