This role will act as a key connector between project teams and the HR function, with a primary focus on recruitment, onboarding, and talent management. You will contribute to building strong project teams while ensuring HR processes are consistently aligned with project demands and workforce plans. Recruitment & Workforce Planning: Partner with hiring managers to support end-to-end recruitment for technical and field roles (engineers, coordinators, skilled trades, etc.). Coordinate with junior coordinators the job postings, screening, interviews, and offers in alignment with project timelines and requirements. Oversee and validate recruitment trackers and dashboards maintained by junior team members to ensure accuracy and alignment with project needs. Build candidate pipelines through job fairs, LinkedIn, and community outreach. Attend career fair Onboarding & Talent Integration: Support structured onboarding for project hires, ensuring timely setup and integration with site teams. Liaise with internal departments (IT, payroll, HSE) to coordinate onboarding tasks and documentation. Conduct follow-ups with new hires and managers during probationary periods. Talent Management & Engagement: Assist in tracking employee training, certifications, and competency development plans. Support project-wide employee engagement activities and touchpoints. Coordinate probation, feedback, and retention check-ins. Reporting & HR Data Management: Maintain accurate employee records using Excel, SharePoint, and HRIS tools. Generate weekly and monthly HR reports (e.g., hiring status, onboarding progress, workforce composition). Analyze data and provide insights through dashboards and visual summaries to support leadership decision-making, in collaboration with HR Team. Ensure HR metrics and KPIs are updated and communicated effectively. HR Operations & Support: Provide day-to-day HR support to employees and supervisors, answering policy questions and escalating when necessary. Help maintain accurate employee records in HRIS and project tracking tools. Assist with performance review coordination and probation tracking. WORK CONDITIONS •In person Required Skills and Competencies 5+ years of HR experience, ideally in construction, infrastructure, manufacturing or similar industry. Strong recruitment background with experience sourcing skilled technical roles. Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, filters, formulas, visual reporting). Power Bi is an asset. Solid understanding of employment standards and onboarding practices in a union/non-union environment. Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-volume project settings. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work with both field and office personnel. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, SharePoint); experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) is an asset. Knowledge of ISO, COR, or similar safety & competency frameworks is an asset.
