For this exciting position, we are specifically targeting students who have a
background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics and Engineering and who
possess coding experience and demonstrate an enthusiastic curiosity towards the
following areas: data engineering, data visualization, cloud computing, and
mining technologies. Depending on the needs and location of the team, you will
need to work PDT or MDT or relocate to a specific office (site-based). You must
also currently be a student enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution
and will be enrolled throughout the duration of the co-op term (you will also be
returning back to the post-secondary institution once the co-op term is
completed). Proof of a valid work permit will also be required, if
applicable.

Responsibilities
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental
rules and procedures
- Design, build and deploy Data Pipelines on Azure for Operational Data
including Historian time series data, SQL server databases and unstructured
data sources
- Solve sophisticated technical problems with legacy systems to overcome
technical roadblocks preventing data migration to the cloud platform
- Conduct detailed validation of pipeline data, prioritizing data delivery,
security, and quality to maintain integrity and confidentiality
- Provide and develop monitoring and performance metrics for data-pipelines to
measure and ensure performance KPIs are met
- Maintain application and system documentation
- Facilitate and support incident response and forensics for pipelines on
Azure
Qualifications
- Preference will be given to students with diverse educational backgrounds,
including Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics and Engineering
- Coding experience in Python, SQL, C# is an asset
- Proven ability to learn new technologies and platforms quickly, accurately,
and efficiently
- Ability to communicate with precision in a technical environment
- Able to articulate sophisticated concepts clearly and in a way a diverse
audience would understand
- Experience with cloud platforms is an asset and a variety of technology
backgrounds is valued
- Knowledge and experience with working in Agile is an asset
- Proficient in both independent work and collaborative teamwork, encouraging
an inclusive and diverse environment
