Job Duties:
Lead the planning and execution of a diverse portfolio of partner accounts, including traditional media assets, in-market promotions, in-arena activations, hospitality, experiential, and community programs, with guidance from senior team members when needed
Build and maintain strong working relationships with all partnership contacts and ensure a high level of partner satisfaction, continually seeking to better understand and deliver against partner objectives
Contribute to club revenue goals by assisting in all facets of the renewal process, including but not limited preparing strategic marketing plans, leading meetings and discussions, contributing to negotiation efforts, and identifying opportunities for upsell.
Track reporting metrics for partner deliverables and activations and prepare year end reports
Collaborate with internal brand marketing, content, events, and communications teams to ideate, manage, and deliver multi-channel design and content programming
Demonstrate initiative and a team-first attitude within the Partnership Marketing department, contributing positively to overall team culture and success
Manage partner player appearances as required
Provide support for all partner events as required
Assist with on-site activation, production and/or hospitality responsibilities for all home events
In addition to bringing a commitment to Vancouver Whitecaps FC vision and values, the successful candidate will have degrees of demonstrated skills and experience as follows:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Sports Management, or a related field.
4+ years of partnership marketing or sales experience, preferably in sports or large-scale events.
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
Good understanding of the professional sports landscape in North America
The ability to build and maintain strong relationships in order to consistently maximize growth, and meet/exceed targets
Self-motivated with a proven ability to engage with a range of internal and external partners to achieve objectives
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and maintain a positive and proactive attitude in fast-paced environments.
Ability to assess opportunities and risks to make sound decisions, while handling multiple priorities simultaneously
Flexible schedule and ability to work unconventional hours including weekends and game nights
