We’re currently seeking experienced Hydrovac Swampers to join our roster.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Help with the initial setup of the hydrovac unit, ensuring it's positioned correctly and ready for operation
Responsible for managing hoses, ensuring the safety of the work area, and assisting in the proper disposal of excavated materials.
Help maintain equipment, performing routine checks and reporting any issues to the operator
Assist the operator in the hydro excavation process, helping to position the equipment, guide the hoses, and manage the excavated material
Cleaning up the job site after the excavation is complete, ensuring the area is tidy and safe
Qualifications:
2+ Years of Vac Truck Swamping Experience
Standard First Aid & CPR – Level C
H2S Alive
Common Safety Orientation
Confined Space Entry and Monitor
Ground Disturbance
TDG & WHMIS - required to complete in-house
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with reliable transportation an asset
Must be able to pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test
Must be clean shaven to wear respiratory protection
Working Conditions:
Travel is required and certain jobs may be eligible for Living Out Allowance
Exposure to noise, dust, fumes and extreme weather conditions
Physically demanding with heavy lifting required (up to 50 lbs)
Willingness to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule (including night, weekends, holidays, and overtime)
