The Director, Digital Health & Consumer Innovation is a key role on the Commercial Leadership Team in the Business Development and Client Solutions group, focused on building and leading execution of the overall strategy for customer facing digital health and consumer solutions that generate commerical revenue growth (both immediate and
future) for Dynacare.

How YOU will make a difference:
Develop / Refine / Execute Dynacare Digital Health and Consumer Innovation strategy including vision,
product/platform portfolio and product roadmaps
Develop overall Digital Health and Consumer Innovation vision and strategy that enables Dynacare to
secure a leading position in an evolving Canadian Healthcare environment (i.e. increasingly public payor
constrained, consumer centric, convenience oriented, etc.)
Refine / Refresh Dynacare Plus roadmap as required and lead execution against highest priority roadmap
features
Develop Decentralized Collections platform strategy (with Support of Sr Product Manager) including
prioritization of future products, revenue projections and business cases
Collaborate cross-functionally (ITSS, PMO, CDQA, Operations, etc.) to gain support and secure resources to
execute on digital health and consumer product roadmaps
Identify additional opportunities for extensions of current direct to consumer products or new product
concepts based on market trends and needs analysis
Lead key Dynacare growth platforms including Digital Health Solutions, Decentralized Testing Platforms and
other consumer health offerings to achieve revenue growth ambitions
Exceed annual revenue targets for Dynacare Plus (Digital Health Solution), Dynacare InSight (Decentralized
Collection Platform), and COT (Consumer Ordered Testing Solution)
Influence organization cross-functionally to ensure successful implementation of optimal strategies for
client conversion, and the delivery of a strong customer experience
Identify opportunities to develop new / refine existing Digital Health Solutions and Decentralized Testing
Platforms to support growth of Revenue Driver business lines
Work closely with VP, BDCS&S and individual Business Line leads to identify, evaluate, define and prioritize
high-revenue potential digital / decentralized product opportunities across Revenue Driver Business Lines
Leverage external network to uncover additional high-revenue potential digital / decentralized product
opportunities (e.g. virtual care); work with VP BDCS&S to prioritize
Play leading role in shaping and refining Dynacare growth strategy
Work collaboratively with VP BDCS&S to periodically refresh Dynacare Growth Strategy to capitalize on
high potential growth driver business lines and new growth platform and growth lever opportunities
Inspire, nurture and motivate Digital Health and Consumer Innovation, along with broader Business
Development, Client Services and Solutions team
Support Digital and Consumer Innovation product managers in continuing to develop their product management skill sets and capabilities
Identify top talent on team and seek out opportunities to increase their visibility across the organization
and opportunities for internal and external training
Seek opportunities to mentor Dynacare staff (BD and others), helping them to learn from your previous
experience
What YOU bring to the role:
Deep knowledge of, and experience in, the Canadian health care industry; ideally in commercial roles in the
government-paid, 3rd party-paid and consumer-paid spaces
An understanding of digital health and decentralized laboratory technologies and market outlook coupled with
an in-depth understanding of Canadian and global healthcare systems and system trends
A track record of success and exceptional revenue growth in an emerging healthcare business line
Experience working in both nimble “entrepreneurial” organizations as well larger organizations with a unique
understanding of when to apply learnings and approaches from each environment
Experience working collaboratively and cross-functionally with diverse departments, including Laboratory
Operations, Information Technology, Clinical, Finance and Business Development, as well as external partners
Fluency in spoken and written English is required. French language skills would be an asset
10+ years of healthcare industry experience, ideally in a Business Development environment
Undergraduate degree in business, science or related discipline (BComm, BSc) is a requirement; graduate
training (MBA, PhD, MSc) would be an asset
Experience acting as a trusted advisor to executives and business line heads in a top-tier strategy consulting
role would be an asset
Strategic mindset, business acumen/commercial awareness and the ability to define, communicate and solicit
organization-wide support for a vision / strategy
Outward focus with the ability to integrate, assimilate and synthesize large amounts of macro and industry
trend data, drawing relevant inferences about current and future opportunities
Ability to conduct and direct sophisticated data analysis aimed at uncovering opportunities or understanding
the effectiveness of existing solutions
Ability to identify, assess, prioritize opportunities and deploy resources using appropriate qualitative and
quantitative criteria
Expertise using product management approaches, tools and frameworks, and a demonstrated ability in
disseminating these concepts to direct reports and across organizations
Creativity to identify gaps in the environment and spearhead the development of products that meet an unmet
need
Ability to shepherd products from conception to market quickly and efficiently while ensuring they will deliver
an excellent user experience
Exceptional communication skills including the ability to storyboard, develop and deliver presentations and to
produce persuasive written documents and business cases for an executive audience
Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and constantly evolving environment, by structuring information and ideas,
developing hypotheses and making timely decisions
Ability to influence cross-functionally to advance a strategic direction, at times without positional authority
Ability to navigate across functions to generate buy-in and support and to work through others to drive results
Instinctual ability to drive results through direction and delegation, influence, and “rolling up one’s sleeves”
when necessary
Proven track record of developing thriving teams and nurturing top talent including, coaching, motivating,
mentoring and development planning
Ability to quickly develop professional credibility in a thought leadership / advisory capacity across all levels of
an organization
Ability to diplomatically challenge and validate or in-validate long held assumptions
Instinctive ability to collaborate: know when to lead, defer, challenge, hold accountable
