We’re always looking for passionate and creative people to help us in this mission!Job DescriptionThis position will provide Instrumentation and Electrical support to Field Service Representatives and Engineers during erection, pre-commissioning, commissioning activities and warranty phase of Water Treatment plants. You will ensure that the applicable EH&S and department procedures, checklists and documentations are properly followed by site personnel.
Key Responsibilities:Follow engineering documents, schematics, manufacturer’s manuals, and electrical code specifications to determine the layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.Prepare commissioning procedures and maintenance procedures for field instruments, following manufacturer’s manuals, specifications, and approved engineering drawings/documents.Develop Standard Operating Procedures and log sheets to document and monitor equipment operation.Develop and execute commissioning schedules and performance plans.Install, test, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.Follow wiring and termination drawings to perform and check wiring terminations for electrical control panels and field electrical/electronic devices.Responsible for installing, maintaining, and calibrating industrial instruments such as pressure, level, temperature, and flow sensors/transmitters.Perform continuity checks for electrical and electronic devices/equipment.Perform tests on ozone generator power supply units and verify the operation of VFDs/IGBTs and transformers for optimal operation of ozone generators.Start up and commission MBR systems in water and wastewater treatment plants.Perform control system factory acceptance tests with clients and client-designated representatives.Perform specific PLC/HMI activities, including but not limited to control system I/O checkout, system networking, program upload/download, understanding ladder logic, function blocks, troubleshooting code, and writing simple logic.Maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial, electrical, and electronic control systems, including instruments, control valves, variable frequency drives, PLC program logic, etc.Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.Have a good understanding of using electronic and pneumatic test devices such as Fluke calibrators/process meters, multimeters, HART communicators, pneumatic hand pumps, and other test devices to test and diagnose faults in electrical and electronic devices/components.Develop and execute classroom and hands-on training regarding the operation and maintenance of process equipment.Perform after-market services such as site inspections, equipment inspections, and operator training.Maintain a strong safety mindset to ensure the executed work reflects the technical requirements within Veolia’s safety standards.QualificationsCore Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience in power plants, chemical process facilities or wastewater treatment plants.Valid passport and driver's licence.Ability to travel (90~120 days/year) throughout North America, and to other places in the world.Proficiency in English is required. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.Demonstrated ability to work independently and remotely with project teams.Strong oral and written communication skillsStrong aptitude for planning, organizing, scheduling, assigning and evaluating the work of subordinates coupled with clear, concise communication and presentation skills.Strong focus on customer relationships (both external and internal customers).
