Responsibilities: Perform transformer installation and maintenance activities Perform replacement of bushings and repair of transformer leaks Perform electrical testing of transformers that includes power factor, ratio, resistance, insulation resistance, SFRA Operate and maintain transformer oil processing rig Maintain tool and work trailers Ensure all site work is performed to meet proper safety requirements Good knowledge of Electric Power Equipment Handles post commissioning warranty activities Ability to build customer relationships and makes recommendation to customers with regards to equipment performance. Works in collaboration with other departments (sales, marketing and engineering) and bring Field Service expertise. Reviews, analyzes and interprets and comments on technical specifications prior to starting work Participates in department administrative tasks Follows scheduling and administrative procedures Participates in technical training Prepare customer reports on testing and site work performed Work under challenging conditions; able and willing to be called for Customer emergency situations. This may include longer term work assignments at customer sites. See problems as a challenge and be able to find solutions through research, peer networking and Centre of Excellence networking Requirements: A trade education, college or university diploma/degree/trade in a technical field (electrical, mechanical, etc.) Electrical field service experience with a minimum of 3 years experience or other relevant substation / transformer experience (i.e. manufacturing, engineering design, factory project management) Must have and maintain a valid Canadian driver’s license Must be willing to work in different working conditions and hours of work Willing to travel for development when required and must maintain a valid passport for international travel.
