We’re looking for a hands-on, results-driven Maintenance Manager to lead our
team and ensure optimal performance, reliability, and safety across all
operations.
Authorization to work in Canada without current or future sponsorship is
required.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring optimal equipment uptime and
implementing a proactive, efficient maintenance strategy across the Windsor
facility. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role leads a
cross-functional maintenance team, oversees the preventative maintenance
program, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to meet operational
goals. The objective is to achieve 94% equipment uptime while aligning
maintenance practices with company safety standards, cost controls, and
production efficiency.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Implement and enforce departmental safety policies and procedures.
- Lead and manage the maintenance department to maintain plant downtime under
5% while staying within budget.
- Ensure all plant equipment operates reliably and achieves planned uptime
targets.
Staff and schedule four maintenance crews, ensuring balanced electrical and
mechanical skills across shifts.
- Promote and expand operator-led equipment ownership within operations.
Enhance emergency response protocols to improve incident handling time and
reduce equipment downtime.
- Develop and manage a robust Preventive Maintenance (PM) program using
Megamation software.
- Implement and oversee Work Order and Spare Parts Inventory systems via
Megamation, in coordination with Lakeshore operations.
- Lead all PLC-related upgrades and troubleshooting efforts (Allen-Bradley and
Siemens), including assessment of current capabilities and maintenance needs.
- Assess and enhance the technical competence (mechanical and electrical) of
the maintenance team through targeted skills development.
- Build detailed knowledge of plant equipment and recommend improvements for PM
practices and productivity gains.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to drive operational improvements and reduce
unplanned downtime.
WHO YOU ARE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a maintenance management role within a
manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation including blueprints,
schematics, and equipment specifications.
- Effective leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CMMS software (preferably
Megamation).
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
