Scope
The Engineering Design Specialist is responsible for providing advanced
engineering calculations and piping system design support for internal teams and
external customers. This role plays a key part in ensuring effective
implementation and optimization of Victaulic solutions across various
applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Review customer piping system requirements and recommend appropriate
Victaulic solutions
- Perform detailed engineering calculations including thermal expansion, anchor
load analysis, and general pipe stress evaluations
- Design and specify pipe support components, including anchors and guides
- Provide field support to assist with product installation, troubleshooting,
and performance optimization
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders in the development and enhancement of
new products
- Deliver technical training and seminars to both internal sales teams and
external customers
- Maintain organized documentation of calculations, designs, and support
activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation is required
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the piping or construction
industry, with a focus on product or system design
- Proficiency with piping stress analysis tools such as AutoPIPE or CAESAR II
is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage
multiple priorities
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 15% for field support and
training
Salary: $120 – 145k
