Our Audio-Visual team focuses on designing, installing, and maintaining complex
AV solutions for our clients. As a Lead AV Technician with Paladin Technologies,
you will be responsible for reviewing, understanding, analyzing, and
implementing installation plans from our Design, Sales, and Project Management
Team. Reporting into a Project Manager or Foreman, you will be responsible for
mentoring and supervising junior Technicians. This position requires the ability
and technical knowledge to complete installations, understand the BOM, and be
capable of adjusting as needed to meet client satisfaction.

client-focused. A typical day could see you working on a variety of commercial
installations including, hospitals, airports, corporate offices, and casinos to
name just a few.
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead the installation and servicing cabling infrastructure and audio/visual
devices including pre-wiring, installation, termination, testing, reporting,
and labeling per specifications and drawings.
- Lead the installation of audio/visual equipment including audio and video
conferencing equipment, distributed audio, digital signage, sound
reinforcement, control systems and all presentation systems.
- Lead system programming and commissioning through the use of Crestron
Toolbox, Extron Toolbelt, and Tesira software to establish a connection with
devices.
- Set of device ID's and IP addresses, maintain and update spreadsheets for
programmers.
- Organize and maintain efficiency with onsite activities and goals, keep
project team motivated.
- Mentor, coach, and train other Technicians.
- Load program files and update firmware for various devices.
- Build racks and implement strong cable management practices.
- Read and interpret system diagrams and construction drawings.
- Ensure safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
- Administrative duties including project updates to Project Managers,
completing and filing all project documentation.
- You may be required to be “on-call” before or after your regularly scheduled
hours, and/or on a day when you are not regularly scheduled to work.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION
- 5 Plus years of experience in a technical role within the integrated
security industry.
- Progressive experience installing and maintaining complex Audio-Visual
systems in a commercial environment.
- Flexibility to work in a variety of environments, from construction sites to
finished corporate offices.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean abstract.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working in the hospitality, healthcare, and/or post-secondary
industries preferred.
- CTS, CTS-I, Extron AV associate, Biamp Tesira Forte, Biamp AV Lab Crestron
Professional Installation certifications preferred.

perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The use of power tools will be
required to effectively perform this position. The employee must occasionally
lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may be required to work at heights over
1.8m (6 feet).
