Mini St. Catharines is looking for a Sales Manager to join their team on a 14 month contract.
The Sales Manager is responsible for assisting the General Sales Manager and General Manager in running an efficient and profitable sales department. The Sales Manager will operate the department at maximum production, controlling costs, building a loyal clientele, maintaining good employee relationships, maintaining service records, and setting and obtaining sales, financial, and safety objectives.

Here’s what you’ll deliver:
Assist the General Manager in the planning and forecasting of goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them, as well as the development and implementation of new and existing policies and procedures
Conduct monthly meetings with department employees to discuss activities and problems of mutual interest
Reach sales goals on strict timeline requirements
Grow revenue and profitability in sales territory
Report performance goals and achievements on a regular basis
Handle all customer complaints on a timely basis
Ensure that work is assigned to sales staff in an efficient and equitable manner
Ensure that adequate staff is available to handle the expected customer demand
Assist in developing and controlling the performance of the department using tools such as daily operating control; efficiency and productivity control; comeback reports; warranty reports; telephone surveys; and monthly forecasts
Assist in the collection of delinquent or slow paying accounts receivable for vehicle sales
Responsible for supporting Sales Consultants and driving a high level of performance among the sales team
Oversees the efforts of Sales employees to enhance the image and customer satisfaction ratings of the dealership
Ensure customer retention and profitability by recruiting qualified sales personnel
Establishes and enforces product-knowledge standards
Actively support, encourage, and motivate sales personnel daily to maintain high morale
Uphold all rules and procedures (i.e., support enforcement, including disciplinary action as necessary)
Work in strict compliance with the requirements and regulations of the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council (OMVIC)
Work in strict compliance with the Laws of the Province of Ontario and Canada including, but not limited to, the Employment Standards Act (ESA), the Motor Vehicle Dealers Act (MVDA) and the Accessibilities for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)
Comply with all company policies, standards and procedures
Other duties as required by management
What you need to succeed:
Post Secondary Degree/Diploma in Business Administration
Experience in the retail sales of motor vehicles
3-5 years of management experience in the automotive industry is an asset
OMVIC Certification is required
Dealer CRM system experience is required
Must have a valid Ontario Driver's License and good driving record
Must be available to work on Saturdays
Ability to support the organization’s goals and objectives
Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
Demonstrate effective verbal, listening, and written communication skills
Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
Exceptional customer service orientation
Excellent time management skills, ability to multitask and work well under pressure
Ability to manage stress and work with tight deadlines
Highly self motivated and directed
Self-motivated and ability to work with minimum supervision
Must be willing to be flexible with work schedules.
