We are looking for a Sr. Finance Director to join us in our Canada Insights to Impact (I2I) team comprised of Operational Excellence, Finance & Procurement based out of our office in Oakville, Ontario, CA
About the role
The Finance Director acts as an independent active member in the local leadership team and plays a critical role in strategic decision making when ensuring the implementation and respect of our global processes/policies in Finance, Operational Excellence and Procurement. He/she is driving the finance strategy of the Canadian affiliate.
Who you’ll work with
This individual will be the central point of contact at the Canadian affiliate level and the local representative when interacting with Global for the areas of Finance, Operational Excellence and Procurement.
What you’ll do
Drives constructive dialogue on resource allocation and value creation within Patient Impact
Facilitates performance management culture for respective businesses and as a dedicated counterpart and sparring partner to the GM and the Canadian Leadership Team.
Ensures quality of input in company processes like Strat plan, budget. Drives consistency and traceability of forecasting process. Validate asset assumptions at Intercontinental East level.
Collaborates with all I2I teams, GBS, consolidation, strategy team, portfolio, Talent, Procurement, Supply chain, Global Treasury and Tax.
Drives finance strategy and represent Finance at the Leadership of the affiliate LT
Working as finance business partner for the GM and his/her direct reports. Steering him/her to achieve the country's financial objectives
Guardian of the data quality. Analyze and present financials in an accurate and timely manner. Oversee all financials and Business cases (including pricing). Facilitate resource reallocation within the company
Coordinate and lead annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with the LT members. Review all financial plans and budgets; monitor progress and changes; and keep senior leadership team abreast of the organization's financial status.
Update and implement all necessary business policies
Review & approval of all contracts and addendums to ensure accounting & tax compliance
Responsible from providing a holistic picture of the performance by integrating FP&A and OE activities (financials and non-financials)
Responsible for delivering insights to maximize performance of launched assets
Supporting the Business Review - Adhoc reporting and analysis
Managing CLRM tool - Maintenance, Data Privacy, Updates, Training & Reporting
Ensure Sales force effectiveness strategy and processes (territory Management- Incentives and Compensation) are in place
Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills
10+ year’s executive leadership experience
10+ years prior experience in Finance, Financial Planning in a senior position with a proven track record of achieving financial objectives
Prior experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills; should be an effective team player who can engender credibility and confidence within the company, customers & patients
Proven ability to manage a team, work in a team, inputting expert knowledge by influence and good listening skills to understand design models for interpretation
