The Role
The Manager, ESG Reporting & Disclosure is responsible for developing and
managing Torex’s ESG reporting strategy and external disclosures. The role
focuses on overseeing ESG data systems, coordinating assurance processes,
producing accurate and timely reports, and supporting alignment with leading
global standards. The Manager supports the company’s communications with
stakeholders and ESG rating agencies by maintaining transparency, consistency,
and quality in reporting.

Torex Gold Resources Inc. is an intermediate gold producer engaged in the
exploration, development, and operation of our wholly owned Morelos Property, an
area of 29,000 hectares in the highly prospective Guerrero Gold Belt located 180
kilometers southwest of Mexico City. The Company is based in Canada, with our
Corporate Office located in Toronto, Ontario. Torex is currently the
second-largest gold producer in Mexico.
The Company’s mining asset is the Morelos Complex, which includes the El Limón
Guajes (“ELG”) Mining Complex, the Media Luna Project, a processing plant, and
related infrastructure. Commercial production from the ELG Mining Complex began
in April 2016, and the Company’s Media Luna project, located 7 kilometers south
of the ELG Complex, is currently under construction with commercial production
expected to begin in 2025.
Torex’s key strategic objectives are to extend and optimize production from the
ELG Mining Complex, de-risk and advance the Media Luna Project to commercial
production, build on ESG excellence, and grow organically through ongoing
exploration across the entire Morelos Property and through potential value
accretive M&A.

What We're Looking for:
- Education:
- University degree in business, engineering, science, communications, or a
related discipline associated with sustainability.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in sustainability reporting, preferably
within the mining industry.
- Experience managing the disclosure of annual sustainability reports.
- Knowledge of key ESG ratings agencies and associated requirements.
- Knowledge of leading disclosure standards, including Sustainability
Accounting Standards Board (SASB), Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
- Experience working with international operations, particularly in Latin
America, is highly desirable.
- Skills
- Exceptional English writing and editing skills are mandatory.
- Proficiency in Spanish (verbal and written) is a strong asset.
- High attention to detail and data coherence.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks at once.
- Ability to influence others at all levels to deliver on tasks within the
established deadline.
- Availability to travel to the site in Guerrero two times a year.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
ESG Reporting Strategy & Framework Alignment
- Establish and execute the company's annual ESG disclosure strategy, ensuring
alignment with leading global frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD).
- Lead the company's participation and reporting for mining-specific
sustainability standards the Company has signed on to, particularly the
RGMPs, Conflict Free Gold Standard, ICMC & GISTM.
- Monitor the evolving ESG landscape for trends and new regulatory disclosure
requirements, identify areas for improvement, and build into annual planning
as appropriate.
- Drive continuous improvement by benchmarking against peer disclosures and
maintain a gap analysis to ensure continuous improvement in ESG reporting.
Data Collection, Management, and Verification
- Project manage Torex’s annual Responsible Gold Mining Report, from theme
development and content gathering to writing, design, translation, and
publication.
- Develop compelling, data-driven, and transparent content for the Report,
ensuring it accurately reflects both successes and challenges at the Company
- Prepare and submit ESG data to rating agencies, and develop recommendations
for continuous improvement in scoring and ESG ratings (e.g., Sustainalytics,
ISS, MSCI, Refinitiv)
- Lead responses to investor questionnaires (e.g., CDP Climate, Water and
Forestry, S&P Global Annual Sustainability Assessment).
- Collaborate with the Investor Relations and Legal teams to ensure ESG
disclosures in other corporate filings (e.g., quarterly Management Discussion
& Analysis (MD&A), the Annual Information Form (AIF), and Management
Information Circular (MIC)) are consistent and accurate
- Lead the preparation of monthly Responsible Mining reports for lenders
- Support the SVP, HR, ESG, and Communications in drafting internal reports for
the Executive Team and Board of Directors
Report Production and Disclosure
- Tracks evolving regulatory requirements, trends, and best practices in ESG
disclosure and makes recommendations to senior management to ensure
continuous improvement and compliance.
- Maintains a gap analysis on evolving disclosure requests/requirements from
key ESG ratings agencies and disclosure standards to ensure continuous
improvement.
Internal Collaboration and Capacity Building
- Assist and participate in the preparation of materials for the Responsible
Mining Working Group.
- Support the Director, Environment & Sustainability, and SVP HR, ESG, and
Communication on enhancing ESG performance and communication as required.
