Since 2008, we’ve recycled over one million vehicles—and we’re just getting started!Kenny U-Pull is a division of American Iron & Metal (AIM), a globally recognized leader in the metal recycling industry, with more than 125 sites, 4,000 employees worldwide, and over $3.5 billion in annual sales.What We OfferCompetitive salary + biannual bonus of up to 3.75%AIM tuition assistance programVacation, benefits, and group RRSP with employer contribution24/7 telemedicine accessExclusive employee discounts on parts from any Kenny U-Pull locationJob DescriptionWorking in tandem with the accounting team, the Accounting Analyst is responsible for the following tasks:You will analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities.You will prepare journal entries and perform accounting and financial analyses.You will take part in various accounting processes, including billing, accounts receivable (A/R), accounts payable (A/P), general ledger (GL), cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.You will maintain records of assets in progress (equipment and projects), working in collaboration with different teams (construction, site operations, maintenance, etc.).You will calculate asset depreciation and maintain continuity schedules.You will coordinate the preparation of regulatory reports.You will participate in monthly and annual closing processes, as well as in internal and external analyses.You will ensure quality control over transactions and financial reports.You will manage and comply with reporting requirements from local, regional, and federal authorities, including sales tax filings.You may develop and document operational processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.You may be assigned any ad hoc reporting tasks by your supervisor.What You’re Responsible ForYou have post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related fieldYou have a minimum of 1 year of experience as an Accounts Payable SpecialistYou have a strong understanding of processes, including invoice processing and payment disbursementYou are capable of multitasking and have excellent organizational skillsYou are very detail-oriented, accurate, and thoroughQualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance3+ years of experience in a similar roleGood knowledge of the asset accounting cycle and principlesExperience with financial system migrationsExcellent leadership and critical thinking skillsGood knowledge of Microsoft Excel and OutlookKnowledge of Maximo (IBM) and D365 (an asset), Odoo, and Power BIStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and precisionAutonomous and responsibleAbility to work under pressure and well-organizedProficiency in French and English (spoken and written) is requiredCPA designation is considered an asset
