The Job We are seeking a dedicated and organized Waste & Recycling Centre Supervisor to oversee all aspects of daily operations at our facility. This role ensures the centre runs safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulations. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, operational planning, and safety enforcement experience within a waste, recycling, or industrial environment. Key Responsibilities: Scheduling & Staffing: Manage employee schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels; support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of team members. Outgoing Waste Stream Management: Oversee and coordinate all outgoing waste and recycling streams to ensure efficient, timely, and compliant material movement. Preventative Maintenance (PM) Scheduling: Coordinate scheduled maintenance for facility equipment; work closely with maintenance teams and vendors to ensure minimal downtime. Site Safety & Compliance Enforcement: Promote a culture of safety; conduct regular site inspections and ensure all safety protocols and regulatory requirements are being followed. Facility Maintenance: Ensure the overall cleanliness, upkeep, and functionality of the site, including buildings, yard, and equipment. Reporting & Communication: Prepare operational reports and communicate regularly with upper management regarding site performance, issues, and opportunities.
