POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for Engineering Project Coordination in support of production contracts and sales opportunities.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Serve as primary technical correspondent and New Flyer Engineering representative for production contracts and sales opportunities.
Identify, define and manage technical configuration requirements and clearly communicate details to customers and internal stakeholders.
Identify technical risks and opportunities. Independently develop strategies to mitigate risks and action opportunities.
Manage the Engineering Bill of Material and report BOM status to management.
Effectively manage and present project documentation.
Assign tasks to New Flyer Engineering Designers to complete contract-specific design work.
Actively contribute or lead cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives.
Mentor and train new employees.
Provide technical vehicle training for the department.
Check or approve others work.
Other duties as assigned.
