CARFAX is seeking an UX Designer who is looking for a new opportunity with a GREAT company. You will focus on building consumer facing experiences to improve engagement and conversion. You’ll leverage the CARFAX brand with our industry-leading data to power intuitive designs that create delightful experiences.
What you’ll be doing:
Partner with a team of product managers, user experience researchers and developers to solve business and user problems.
Build empathy for consumer needs by conducting discovery activities with the product team, including: user research, competitive analysis, user task and goals identification, journey maps, process flows, etc.
Leverage market analysis, customer feedback, site metrics, and usability findings to inform design decisions and evaluate the effectiveness of designs.
Design high fidelity, interactive mocks that balance aesthetics and usability across devices.
Prototype designs to evaluate concepts and solutions. Present potential designs with stakeholders, effectively communicating design rationale.
Collaborate with the UX team to ensure consistency and understand holistic patterns across our products.
Focus on reducing friction, improving conversion, and driving the value of our amazing brand
Research design trends, tools, and technologies, and share knowledge with the team.
What we’re looking for:
Experienced with B2C interfaces on responsive web and native app interfaces
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to help translate business goals into creative design solutions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills – you aren’t afraid to voice your opinions but can also embrace flexibility as initiatives evolve.
Holistic mindset to understand how your designs fit within the CARFAX ecosystem.
Passionate about user and business metrics to inform design decisions. You can utilize available data but are also comfortable moving forward with imperfect information.
Experienced in facilitation techniques and design sprint methods that enable groups to build clarity and alignment.
Comfortable working within a design system and focusing on consistency when possible.
Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of experience designing B2C responsive web interfaces and native app interfaces
3+ years of in-house design team experience
Experience with Figma, including interactive prototyping.
Have a degree, certification, or equivalent work experience showing aptitude with User Experience.
An online portfolio of demonstrating your end-to-end design process
Willingness to travel – 1-2 trips per year.
