What the position entails:

team as a GIS Technologist/Analyst and help us bring project to life with the
power of geospatial data!
The GIS Technologist/Analyst must have technical skills to be able to apply GIS
principles and processes in initiating, planning, executing, and controlling a
diverse range of GIS tasks with emphasis on GIS data conversion, data
interpretation, GIS analysis, visual presentation and Web GIS publishing.
What you will do:
- Create quality map products based on established cartographic standards and
effective communication practices using GIS and/or CAD
- Edit and manipulate existing data for upload to GIS web application; create
and edit application created in Arc Online
- Import Autocad/Microstation files to Arc Pro and retain important associated
information and esthetic display
- Run analysis on data and created new data layers with data from varied data
sources (Lidar, DTM, DSM, Vector, Raster)
- Good understanding of 3D data structure and 3D elements
- Create scripts to make workflow more effective in various environments
(Arcade, Python, FME)
- Data mining and data quality assessment
What you will bring:
- University Degree in Related discipline, College Post Graduate Diploma or
equivalent
- Recent graduate or with less than 5 years experience is preferred
- Experience in the use of Arc Pro and some experience with Arc Online is
required
- Some experience with scripting is required (either Arcade/Python/FME),
proficiency with Python/FME/Programming would be an asset
- Some experience with AutoCAD is will be preferred
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and to manage multiple tasks with
changing priorities is required
- Experience with other ESRI software is an asset
- Experience with Microstation would be an asset
- Ability to develop Model Builder Scripts would be an asset
- Previous experience in geomatics, planning or infrastructure is considered an
asset
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently
- Proficient in the use of office computer applications (Word, Excel, Access
etc)
