We are looking for a Security Officer for Castlegar Airport.
Schedule: Sat & Sun 9am - 2pm + holidays
Payrate: $19/hr
Some of your responsibilities include:
Patrolling site, observing and reporting any occurrences/breaches immediately
Offering first class customer service to both client and general public
Proactively responding to and resolving emergency situations and conflicts
Maintaining detailed and accurate daily logs and incident reports
Effectively communicating problems or concerns to the Site Supervisor
Ensuring that all incidents are properly recorded in the occurrence log/incident form
Contacting and liaising with police personnel if necessary
Maintain ongoing knowledge of and perform all duties with high safety standards
Your Must-Haves:
BC Security License
Basic First Aid Certificate (OFA 1 or equivalent)
Class 5 Driver's License + clean abstract
Have lived in Canada for 5 or more years in order to obtain clearances
You have excellent problem solving skills
Excellent attention to detail
You have excellent verbal and written English communication skills
Comfortable standing for long periods and working both indoors and outdoors in a range of weather conditions
