Work Flexibility: Hybrid SPECIFIC: Develop UI design concepts and prototypes for the purposes of better understanding the product needs, testing hypotheses and the establishment of product requirements (from sketches to UX workflows, wireframes and interactive prototypes). Leverage Human Centered Design HCD & research to create a holistic user experience across our suite of products with both physical and digital touchpoints. Translate high-level design concepts into design descriptions and guidelines which can be used to brief the technical R&D teams. Partner with senior interaction designer to create new workflows and visual designs Partner and communicate with technical engineers throughout development to launch. GENERAL: While working with a team of interaction designers and under the supervision of a senior interaction designer, the co-op will be expected to engage on some of the following types of activities: Plan and execute user research, including creating research material, conducting user interviews, and synthesizing data Create design concepts (wireframes, mockups, prototypes, etc.) based on user research insights Create design specifications and all necessary documents detailing look and feel and workflow for hand-off to developers Create presentations to share research insights and communicate design direction Participate in design reviews Understand and follow proper procedures and best practices; work with senior designers to improve them. Commit to deliverable goals. Proactively report progress to project management and R&D management when required. Take direction as needed from senior designers and R&D managers; complete most tasks with minimal guidance; use resources responsibly and effectively. Skills: Proven UX & UI design experiences with a portfolio included Experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and prototyping Experience with Figma strongly preferred Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to human-centered design Ability to present your designs and solutions Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively Up-to-date with the latest design trends, design tools and technologies A positive attitude, creative spirit, customer-focused driven, and the ability to give and receive creative feedback Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and establish (and re-establish) priorities. Education Enrolled and in their 3rd or 4th year in a Human Computer Interaction, Interactive Design, User experience or User Interface Design (or similar) program. These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location. Field-based – You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based. Onsite – Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category. Hybrid – You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co-located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
