Purpose of Job: Responsible for all product movement in Distributorship’s warehouse, managing inventory, cycle counts, loading and unloading trucks. Manages, trains and develops Warehouse Team Members. Job Components : Responsible for and must be able to perform all duties and functions within the warehouse operations. Manages, trains and develops Warehouse Team Members. Is responsible for ensuring team is properly trained in the safe use of all warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. Participates and engages team in the practice of continuous process improvement Responsible for implementation of applicable standard operating procedures and accountable for ensuring performance standards are met/exceeded. Manages inventory quality,accuracy and asset protection Develops stock location and order picking strategies to optimize workflow, space utilization, and labor productivity Ensures that warehouse processes are conducted safely and within the law and applicable compliance standards Ensure warehouse is set up and maintained in compliance with all local, provincial and federal regulations. Ensures expenses are within established budget guidelines. Process inbound receiving of containers or full truck, truck pallet shipments, and small parcel shipments. Prepares and distributes operational reports Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum 3 years warehouse management experience including inventory control procedures and inventory/ accounting relationships Superior leadership, management, motivation and teamwork skills Strong written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills Strong organization and time management skills and able to work under pressure Working knowledge of carrier operations, shipment routing and distribution methods Understanding of local, provincial, federal and interprovincial commerce regulations Strong computer skills Superior training and coaching skills Have keen understanding of hazardous shipping laws and requirements Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record. Scope Data: Works under limited supervision Uses frequent independent judgment when making decisions. Accountable for general duties within warehouse operations. Manage two or more Team Members Work Environment: Exposed to battery warehouse conditions such as exposure to moving equipment mechanical parts, electricity, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. Exposure to varying temperatures. Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk and use hands to grasp or handle objects.
