About the Role The Brand Lead, Rare Disease, Marketing is accountable for directing and leading the development and execution of marketing strategies for the Rare Diseases brand and assigned customer segments (i.e. HCPs, APP, Caregivers and Patients) within the Rare Diseases business. The development of short / mid / and long-term strategies, annual brand plans and tactical plans and related measurement activities in rare diseases, especially rare liver disease, is complex and involves several internal functions as well as sophisticated external partners. As such, the Brand Lead requires scientific acumen, strong knowledge, and application of marketing disciplines, as well as effective leadership skills to ensure collaboration, effective decision-making, and clear guidance to ensure financial targets & other objectives are met with seamless execution. Main responsibilities Direct the development & implementation of creative/innovative, patient-centric and appropriate brand marketing strategies and plans that are fully integrated across the team to ensure seamless execution Ensure all annual commercial objectives associated are achieved. This includes sales, margin targets, and other KPIs Facilitate and ensure effective and efficient cross-functional collaboration and alignment to meet or exceed brand objectives Develop, recommend and manage marketing budgets Develop and deliver clear and comprehensive business reviews as required Identify & align all required resources – internally and externally – to ensure effective and seamless achievement of goals. Includes identifying, negotiating with and managing third-party/external vendors to support plans and activities Negotiates to ensure best terms for Ipsen and effectively manages third-party firm performance through all stages of delivery Work closely with Business Unit leadership and to contribute to the development and realization of Business Unit vision and plans Knowledge, abilities & experience Education / Certifications: BA/BS is required; MBA or advanced scientific degree is strongly preferred Experience: At least 10 years of biopharma commercial leadership including at least 5 years in marketing or marketing-related functions focused in rare diseases or specialty area Demonstrated experience with liver disease, hepatology or GI is strongly preferred Extensive experience in US Marketing and US product launch Strong competitive market experience Several years of experience leading marketing and/or brand teams Previous significant experience in developing and executing brand strategic and tactical plans Pharmaceutical Sales Experience #LI-HYBRID IPSEN is an equal opportunity employer that strictly prohibits unlawful discrimination.
