Responsibilities:
- Assistance on meter installation inspections for all meters used by Metergy
- Meter programming assistance for all meters used by Metergy
- Meter commissioning for all thermal, water and electrical meters that do not
fall under S-E-04 used by Metergy
- All Meter communication wiring including but limited to Phone/Ethernet,
RS-485, low voltage cable installation and termination
- Assembly of metering and all related equipment to support installations and
operations
- Installation of metering related equipment to support installations and
operations
- Warehouse support including deliveries and inventory counts. Items not to
exceed comfortable lifting weight to individual (Union and non-Union workers
to complete counts)
- Investigating and resolve communication issues and clerical issues
- Test Current Transformer cable assemblies
- Splice Current Transformer cable harnesses
- Work with Measurement Canada and other governing entities
- Administrative work as required by the role
- Building Status updates – In addition to completing scheduled work at a Job
site. Proactive communication with site foreman or building project managers
to gain a status update to allow Metergy Project Managers to schedule work
effectively
- Support building design
- Mandatory position Level Testing when hiring new employees
Qualifications:
- College level reading and writing skills;
- Ability to give and receive factual technical information;
- Mid to advanced knowledge of electrical theory;
- Knowledge of electrical safety and proper use of personal protective
equipment;
- Basic understanding of Electricity Act & Regulations;
- Ability to use hand tools, volt meter and basic test equipment;
- Ability to perform work in accordance with established procedures, practices
and instructions;
- Can perceive apparent problems but precise identification may require further
inquiry or search
