Video Reporter/On Screen Personality - Student Work Study job opportunities open to full-time Fanshawe College students who qualify for the Work Study Bursary program.
This opportunity is supported through The Work Study Employment Program, which is designed to provide work opportunities to Fanshawe College full-time post-secondary or post diploma students with a demonstrated financial need.
Eligible Students
•Students at Fanshawe College must be a full-time registered student, and meet financial needs assessment criteria
*International Student must have a valid Work permit.
•Must be in good academic standing according to program requirements.

Summary
The Video Reporter / On-Screen Personality (Work Study) position is responsible for producing engaging video news and promotional content for FSU digital platforms. This includes on-camera reporting, scriptwriting, and collaborating with videographers to create compelling stories that inform and connect with the student community. The role is ideal for a confident communicator with a passion for storytelling and student engagement.
This is a part-time Work Study position open to full-time Fanshawe College students approved for the Work Study program.
Job Duties
Report on student news, events, and campus life for FSU digital platforms.
Write scripts and story content for video segments.
Appear on camera as a host or reporter for video features.
Collaborate with videographers or independently film and edit content.
Conduct interviews and gather information for video stories.
Ensure all content aligns with FSU branding and quality standards.
Represent the FSU in a professional and engaging manner.
Assist with other communications or media-related tasks as assigned.
Requirements
Must be a full-time Fanshawe College student approved for the Work Study program.
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
Comfortable speaking on camera and engaging with diverse audiences.
Ability to follow direction while also working independently.
Outgoing, task-oriented, and self-motivated.
Experience with video editing and camera work is an asset.
Reliable attendance and time management.
